Practicality and convenience 

This was my plan the day before yesterday night. Wake up from sleep, take a shower, eat breakfast and write journal. Okay. A perfect plan. 

Yesterday, when I woke up from sleep, I immediately went straight to my desktop, turned it on and opened a web browser. And then I realized that I did something completely different compared to what I planned the day before and I’m sure this problem happens to everyone too. 

I remembered when I was watching a video in YouTube explaining about the gap between intention and action. We do have good intention but mostly we follow our impulse and instinct by doing whatever we find fun, entertaining and convenient

The dreamer and do-er

I watched a Brian Tracy’s video about tips to prioritize tasks which he called ABCD system. A is the high priority task that need urgency to make it, B is also high priority but no need of urgency, C is medium priority task with small importance but not as important as B and D is task that not important and can be done anytime. In that video, Brian also said that we need to finish task A before going to B, C and D. 

Here is where practicality and convenience comes . Our brain loves to do tasks that give largest amount of benefit/enjoyment  over how much effort needed for that task. In other words, we seek convenience. 

For example, looking at what happened to my yesterday morning, I immediately lost my focus as soon as I waking up. I cannot see how much beneficial or practical in preparing myself for the day compared to surf the web in early morning. Because my brain at the time desired enjoyment but at the same time didn’t want to do difficult tasks. Just click any link, and you can crave whatever contents on the Web . In this case, convenience trumps practicality. 

So here is a trick I tried on today morning. First of all, I said to myself that night that I believed in the consequences of the action I made for tomorrow,  With that mindset, after I waking from sleep, I immediately paused and thought, 

What is the most practical task that I should do after waking up from sleep?

Immediately, I went straight preparing myself for today because I knew that I will be more confident and energetic to start my day. 

I knew it is not as convenient as surfing the Web or looking at my smartphone but I believed it is more practical and beneficial for my routines of that day.

The same thing happened to me when I decided to write this post. Truthfully, I want to indulge myself by surfing web, watching videos, scrolling Fb, Insta and Twitter, but then I realized that I have a responsibility which is:

To spread good ideas and thoughts to the world through my blog

That is the reason why I’m writing this post. Because I believe that somebody can learn from it to make their life a lot better than ever.

A kickstart affects how you are living today.

Have a nice sleep yesterday night?Of course.

Nice morning,right?Of course.

Have you done your kickstart today?What?



Yeah.Kickstart.Something that you do in the first time after you waking up from sleep or when carrying a plan out.

Either from simplest thing like jogging,cooking and even reading ( after taking bath) or complicated ones such as making plans or setting up a goal.(it is complicated?)

As for me,I’m writing this post as my kickstart.When the sun rises,and with my sleepy face.I’m typing the keyboard with spirit.

Why I make it as my kickstart?Usually,when waking up from my sleep,I’m always lose intention to do something.Consequently,I’m failing to do what i desired and blaming myself for that.But,after doing some research from plenty of blogs and books,I found that in every morning,we need to something rightly after you waking up from your sleep.No break.It’s called kickstart.




In the universe,everything has their own beginning.Same with us,in everything that we need to accomplish in the day,we need something to start our day,either sipping hot coffee or watering your plants or even just talking to yourself,’Hello,have a great day.


Lastly,you are destined to be successful,and it happen when you have something to start off.

So,ask yourself today,’Have you done your kickstart today?’.

Before & After Sleeping

Sleeping(at night only) separates us from today and tomorrow.It acts as a boundary between day and night which at that time,human use to rest themselves


  However,do you realise that 5 minutes before and after sleeping are one of the important time on our life? Yes,it really is. Okay,let’s try this trick. Try to visualize your dream or vision that you want achieve in your head while laying on bed.This is one of methods that you can do. Other one is try to mumbling what are you want to grasp but make sure you don’t disturb your partner.Next,slowly close your eyes and sleep. On tomorrow morning,as you’re waking up,ask yourself,“What am i going to do today?” or “How am i going to achieve my vision?” Repeat the process for everyday before and after sleeping. According to  many research,our brain unconsciously thinks faster and memorize a lot better in our sleep.It is because there are less information come from our senses.


For example,a student who memorizes history lesson before sleeping can answer history test better than other student who don’t. As for after sleeping,when we emphasizes on our dream or vision by asking questions,we enhance our focus on the day to strive for that matter. But,there come the trick,this must be done everyday,as we human are forgetful.As we wasting our time,our brain will immediately react to what we thinks before and after sleeping and helps us to have better focus. So,I hope this simple trick can helps you become a better person. I don’t want give many tips believe i believe biggest success comes from smallest step that you can make. Here some words from me.

You cannot change yourself become Bill Gates,Carlos Slim or even other people in planet.You are what you are and you can become better than anyone.Because you can change yourself better than anyone who tries to change you.
